In this module you will be introduced to the MXnet ecosystems. You'll be introduced to the three subtle but important differences to the MXnet range of products to help you confidently specify the correct products for any size of project.

This module focusses on the correct infrastructure, power and cabling requirements for each of the MXnet ecosystems as well as the topography of MXnet to clarify how these terms differ, using simple language, to avoid any further confusion.

In this module we'll explore the MXnet Control Box, or CBOX, in more detail to learn about it's functionality within each ecosystem. You'll also learn the functions of each port on the device as well as it's relationship between the ecosystem endpoints and the MXnet Mentor software.

In this module, we are going to clarify on how Control Box and Mentor are used to configure the MXnet ecosystems, it's time to turn our attention to the encoders and decoders.

Welcome to module 6 of the MXnet training. In the last module we explored the role of the encoders within each of the MXnet ecosystems as well as clarified some of the key terminology used to describe the image quality of a video feed. In this module we're going to continue our endpoint discovery by learning about the role played by the decoder devices.

The network switch is a central device of each ecosystem, acting as the beating heart which facilitates the communication between all devices. In this module we are going to take a deeper dive into how the network switch transports each of the AV and control streams between the encoders and decoders, or transceivers on the 10G ecosystem, as well as the configuration, command and response data between those endpoints and the control box.

MXnet is more than just a system; it's a testament to the power of network management and network management starts at the design phase. This module will go into more depth on how it's essential that each MXnet project is equipped with a design topology that vividly portrays the location and specifics of every network host.

Third party control software, in the context of MXnet, refers to external software solutions designed to control and manage the MXnet system. This module will explain in more detail how MXnet comes equipped with its own management tools, sometimes there's a need for it to work alongside other systems and this is where third-party software comes into play.

In module 7 we learned about the role the network switch plays within each MXnet ecosystem, acting as the heartbeat of the system to make sure all the AV streams and data connections get to where they need to be as efficiently as possible. In this module we'll take this one step further to discover how both network gurus and av gurus are able to manage the configuration of each MXnet switch based on the requirements of the project itself.
