The RTI ICP series is the next generation of RTI control processors. The ICP-2, ICP-4, and ICP-10 take the place of the XP-3, XP-6s, and XP-8v tiers, and all three share the same quad-core processor platform, memory, and Integration Designer 12 programming environment, so choosing between them comes down to I/O and form factor. This training covers choosing the right model, wiring and mounting each processor, and setting up and troubleshooting it in the field.
Topics covered:
What changed from the XP series: new platform, embedded Linux, JavaScript driver engine, PoE on every model
Choosing a processor: Wi-Fi, RS-485, 12V triggers, IR input, and 433 MHz needs
Port-by-port hardware tour of the RTI-ICP-2, RTI-ICP-4, and RTI-ICP-10
Mounting options, PoE, switch mode, and separate NIC mode
IR outputs, RS-232, RS-485, sense inputs, relays, and triggers
Application examples: home theater, small office, and sports bar
Installation order, firmware updates, and programming in Integration Designer 12
Status LEDs, reset timing, web-based diagnostics, and support prep
